This Spring, the Ebell of Long Beach had the pleasure of hosting a sketching workshop for event industry professionals and creative individuals. Mary Phan of The Sketchbook Series travels nation wide teaching intimate groups of creatives how to sketch their unique ideas to bring them to life for their clients!
For this Los Angeles stop on The Sketchbook Series tour, Mary Phan teamed up with A Good Affair to design a visually stunning focal point for the class to take inspiration from. A unique combination of rustic textures and vibrant bursts of colors were used by pairing wood pieces by Found Rentals with bold floral designs by Nisie’s Enchanted Florist.
A custom art installation in hues of bright pink, red, yellow, purple and green hung from the draped structure that served as the focal point. The vibrant colors used were a striking contrast to the Ebell’s black and white tiled courtyard and lush greenery surrounding the courtyard’s fountain in the background.
Workshop guests were provided a beautiful array of workbooks and colorful supplies while seated together at round tables draped in gorgeous metallic gold linens from Luxe Linen. Each day of the two day workshop, Tres LA served a stunning display of sandwiches, fresh fruits, and two different salads along with coffee and tea.
